I can support cliets (empolyees or companies) in their Burnout recovery process. With the aim for clients to come back to feeling healthy and engaged in their work environment. First, we schedule an assessment meeting. The assessment will look at your current situation and your desired outcome.
During the coaching period, clients will gain insights. I use inquiry techniques and Motivational Interviewing (MI). These insights are regarding : "What are you holding on to right now and why?" "What is the current situation?"
MI was originally developed to treat problems with addictive behaviour, but today the method is generally used in treatment that concerns lifestyle habits and engagement. In this process we discover what can motivate a client to take steps towards reaching a desired desired outcome.
Afterwards, the change begins because insights come when feeling seen and heard. It's easier with a person present, like a coach, to address the thoughts, emotions and needs, which makes it easier to reach realistic end goals and milestones.
During the coaching period, we will check in at various points to track the clients progress and see how it's going.
How does it work?
Coaching takes place through video calls over a period of 3 to 5 months, where you will have 10 sessions. Together, you and the health coach will map out your situation. We will set one or more final goals for where you (within reasonable limits) want to be when the initial coaching period ends.
All sessions with your health coach take place digitally, and you are required to have a functioning camera and microphone. The length of the coaching period varies from client to client, as sessions can be scheduled with two to four weeks in between. The time between sessions is determined together based on your needs. Often, the sessions are closer together at the beginning of the period, with longer gaps towards the end.
The first video call, the initial visit, takes about 45 minutes. During this, you and the health coach will go through the coaching process. You will assess your perceived health and motivation for lifestyle change. You will be able to freely talk about the why of starting this process. After that, you and the health coach will start mapping your situation. Describing your habits regarding work, food, physical activity, tobacco, or alcohol during a typical day or week. The health coach will ask many questions to get as clear a picture as possible of your habits and also your circumstances.
